Contact Lenses

It depends on the type of lens and how often you replace it. Daily disposables cost more over a year but need no solution or case. Two-week and monthly lenses cost less per day if you wear lenses every day, but you also need solution and a case. Lenses for astigmatism (toric) or for reading and distance (multifocal) usually cost more than standard lenses. Each product page shows the price per box, so you can work out the cost for your replacement schedule. If you wear two-week or monthly lenses, remember to budget for solution and cases too.

Yes, as long as you have a valid contact lens prescription and you buy sealed, genuine lenses from a trusted seller. A sealed box of the same lens is the same product whether you buy it from an optical shop or online.

All you need is your most recent contact lens prescription from an eye doctor. Once you choose the lenses you've been prescribed, you enter the values for each eye, such as the sphere (lens power), base curve and diameter, or upload a photo of your prescription, and we check them before your order ships. Note: glasses and contact lens prescriptions are not the same. You need an eye exam that includes a contact lens fitting to know which type and size is right for you.

Generally, yes. Your contact lens prescription is written for a specific lens, with its own base curve and diameter, so stick to what you were prescribed. If you'd like to switch brands, ask your eye doctor first; many can give you trial lenses so you can see how a new brand feels before you buy a full box.

Only as long as the manufacturer says. Daily disposables are worn once: put in a fresh pair each morning and throw them away at night. Two-week and monthly lenses last up to two weeks or a month from the day you open them, and need cleaning and overnight storage in a case filled with fresh contact lens solution. We sell daily, two-week and monthly lenses.
